Resident evil 6 has A LOT Of Nonsensical moments, Like the Helicopter scene in the intro. Ridiculous.. But the gameplay is solid. Most Set Pieces were amazing to me. I Thought it was Amazing playing through Leon's Chapter. Jake and Sherry felt A Lot Like Resident evil 4 and 3, And Chris was pretty much Resident evil 5 with CoD Seasoning.
It ways baffles me when people are acting like RE6 is suddenly some masterful action game. It sucks at being an action game and that's the problem. The pacing, level design, enemies, cover system, vehicle segments, inventory, shooting, story, characters, etc were all bad.
RE4 neither too hard, nor too easy. The game is perfectly balanced. However, if you playing on PC, I highly recommend that you install RE4 HD Project Mod. It makes the game beautiful, not that the original is bad, and it fixes some issues with the QuickTime Events. If you playing on PC 60fps, QuickTime Events gets insanely harder than the 30fps
Resident Evil 6 is a quite hard game to put a verdict on. It certainly has quite a bad reputation, and while some of it is likely due to how far it's strayed from the Resident Evil roots if you look at it as a second trilogy (4-6) it makes the evolution make a lot more sense.
Yeah it seems like they wanted to go off the rails and did leading to action game nonsense. 2. Scoobydewdoo • 2 yr. ago. I've played most of the main Resident Evil games and I found all of the middle games (4, 5, and 6) to be the weakest by far so I'm right with you.
Resident Evil 2 Remake really dissapointed me. I've been a long time patient fan of the series, I have played and finished most of the main series games. The original RE2 PSX game is one of my first "serious video game" memories, when I was 8 or 9 years old I saw my cousin playing it and I remember being really fascinated and terrified.
It felt like a generic shooter. It was not scary, there were no interesting puzzles, the story was bad, and the gameplay overall just felt bland and uninspired. It felt like a step down from RE7 and RE2 remake. I just want a good survival horror game.
Resident Evil 6 is so insane, so Japanise and so satisying mechanichally that it is fantastic fun. It's not even trying to be scary, it's trying to be badass and suceeding massively. Same thing with Dead Space 3. It's total garbage nonsense but you can make a shotgun that shoots circular saws and everything ends like some kind of Bayonetta climax.
Technically the core gameplay is the best out of any resident evil. The problem comes that now that your character plays better than ever they make you go trough small corridors, instead of something more simiar to what you do in the mercenaries (the game really is at its best there), or more open ended stages like in re4/5. add to that long chapters without any kind of weapon upgrades
